Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP)

Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) serves low-income children and families and families who have a child with a diagnosed disability. ECEAP serves families and children from three to five years old, and is funded by the State of Washington. ECEAP offers part-year services.

Both Head Start and ECEAP Programs provide the following:

Respectful Relationships, Respectful Care Giving and Teaching

  • The relationship between families and our pre-school programs is special
  • Our top priority is working in partnership with the family
  • Children learn best when staff and families work together

The Individual Child

  • Each child is a unique person
  • Every child has their own learning plan
  • Our curriculum is tailored to meet each child's needs and interests

Nutrition

  • We provide nutritious food following USDA guidelines
  • We will work with you to meet your child's special dietary needs
  • Children who attend part day receive 1/3 of their daily nutritional needs
  • Children who attend full day receive 2/3 of the daily nutritional needs

Health

  • Children learn best when they are healthy
  • Families are strongly encouraged to see that their children receive a well-child physical exam before they begin the program
  • We can help you find a physician, and if you don't have insurance and can't afford an exam, we can help
  • Children will be given hearing and vision exams at school
  • Children's height and weight will be checked twice during the year

Tooth Care

  • If you don't have dental insurance, we can help
  • All children will be encouraged to brush their teeth at school
  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste are provided

Immunizations
