Service Plan

Strategies

This Disability Manual has been prepared as a resource and procedural guide, which provides the strategies to ensure that all children are provided the appropriate services needed to grow and flourish in classroom environments.

Specific individual needs, support, and resources are identified on a case-by-case basis. Additional monthly distributions of disability resources are sent to staff and parents.

For additional resource information or detailed information for specific disability needs, contact any Disability staff, MH Team or MDT Resource Specialist.

Purpose and Scope

EOCF has a Disabilities Work Plan and a Disability Manual which provides strategies for meeting the special needs of children with disabilities and their families. This plan is in place to assure that all components of EOCF are appropriately involved in the integration of children with disabilities and their parents.

The plan is also in place to assure that resources are used efficiently. The plan includes provisions for children with disabilities to be included in the full range of activities and services normally provided to all EOCF children and provisions for any modifications necessary to meet the special needs of the children with disabilities.

The plan includes an electronic document located in the Disabilities Component and is updated as appropriate. The Disability Work Plan and the Disability Manual are updated annually.

EOCF Disabilities Statement

The Disabilities Component of our agency is in place to ensure that children with special needs receive the appropriate professional interventions, which will allow them to actively participate in classroom programs. In striving to provide the most effective and efficient services to families and their children, EOCF continuously evaluates and monitors the services provided by the Disabilities Component. This appraisal system provides the Disabilities Component with information to improve methodology, policies and procedures so that we will continue to provide quality services to families and their children.
